MS Surface Go Laptop: A Compact yet Powerful Device

When I first laid eyes on the packaging of the Surface Laptop Go, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. The compact size hinted at the sleek laptop waiting to be unwrapped inside. And indeed, upon opening the box, I was not disappointed.

The device boasts an impressive array of features, starting with its ports. You'll find one USB-C port, one USB-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Surface Connect port for charging and docking. The battery life is also noteworthy, with up to 13 hours of 'typical device usage' on a single charge.

Under the hood, you'll find Windows 10 Home in S Mode, which provides a streamlined and secure operating system experience. The camera is a 720p HD f/2.0 front-facing camera, perfect for video calls or selfies. Storage options range from 64GB eMMC to 256GB SSD, giving users plenty of room to store their files.

The laptop is powered by a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, providing more than enough power for everyday tasks and even some light gaming. The 12.4-inch PixelSense Display boasts a 1536 x 1024 pixel resolution (148ppi) with a 3:2 aspect ratio and 10-point multi-touch capabilities.

On the surface (pun intended), the Laptop Go seems like an excellent choice. However, upon further research, I discovered that similar laptops with comparable specs can be found at much lower price points on Best Buy. This raises questions about whether the Surface Laptop Go is truly worth its higher-than-expected price tag.

Despite this, I still believe the Laptop Go is an excellent computer, particularly for fans of small form-factor PCs. Its compact size and sleek design make it a great option for those who value portability above all else. Ultimately, however, the laptop's pricing may be its biggest drawback, putting both the device and myself in an awkward spot.
